Where We Began
2024 was the 10th anniversary of my daughter Jenn's passing. In this short video, you'll find an explanation of how this Challenge came to be and a bit about the wonderful young woman who inspired it.

At the conclusion of both 2024 and 2025's Challenge, I created an art project out of everyone's stories and brought them with me to Burning Man with me. On the last night of the event, the project burns with the Temple (see pictures). It is an odd sight for outsiders, but the burn serves as collective release—letting go of grief and painful memories, marking new beginnings, and bringing conclusion to the week itself.
