The Jenrada BackstoryFeb 21, 2022
I met Dr. Eli Goldratt, the inventor of TOC (Theory of Constraints, subject of next week's issue), back in the late 80’s and was blessed to have him as my mentor from then until his untimely death in 2011. My career in TOC consulting and educating was dedicated to helping organizations improve their performance. I helped them become much more productive and profitable by focusing on what constrained them the most. I worked with people in every function and layer of nearly any kind of organization you can imagine.
There were many celebrations about the results that were achieved, from productivity to profits, inventory turns to return on investment, sales conversion ratios to revenues and more. I loved my work and the people I worked with.
But what always mattered more to me than improved profits and productivity is the growth and harmony of the people involved. I am truly happiest when I help people tap into, go after, and achieve what matters most to them.
So, after all the years of leading teams and projects that focused on organizational results, I decided to create Jenrada and turn my full focus to what matters most to me. Helping people get much more meaning and fulfillment in their lives. Using a holistic approach that combines TOC concepts and methods with the emotional and intuitive aspects of us that make us human.
Focusing on people is also good for organizations, because people perform best for their organization when they are able to integrate what matters most for them into the way they approach their job. No matter where they happen to be placed in the org chart.
We've had such a great response to The Change Matrix Course that I've decided to continue to offer it for free, for a while longer. This short course teaches a powerful method for considering 4 important yet often neglected aspects of the impact of any decision or change.
B. Sankaran writes, "Thanks to Lisa Scheinkopf for the wonderful course about "The Change Matrix" - one of the simple and effective tools from Theory of Constraints to navigate resistance to change. It's a short and well-designed course. I really love the way Lisa presented the course."
